Trenchtown Rockers Serbia sound system is the oldest Serbian sound system. Probably the only sound system in Serbia inspired by work and activities of Jamaican sound systems. TTRs are officially working from 1999. Since then they are trying to keep domestic reggae scene alive, to spread around reggae & sound system culture, which, before 1999 actually didn't exist. TTR are trying to make and preserve contacts with the most important figures and artists in reggae music in general and to promote them here for reggae audience in Serbia. Until today TTRs managed to present to reggae lovers in Serbia many artists such as: Capleton & the David House Crew (Jam), Gentleman & The Far Band (Germany), David Rodigan (UK), Prince Alla (Jamaica), Asher Selector & Raldo Asher (Switzerland), Rootsman (UK), Love Alliance (Hungary), Dubtafari Crew (Slovenija), DJ Flo from Boozoo Bajou (Germany), Pionear & Germaican Scout (Germany), Bassrunner Soundtribe (Austria), Irie Riddim (Ger) and many others.
So far, TTR performed as a sound system on many domestic shows as well as those abroad. Just a few to mention: Geneva/Switzerland (2003) show with The Gladiators, Montreaux Jazz Festival (2004) show with Gentleman, Yami Bolo & Luciano, Budapest /Hungary (several times), Ljubljana/Slovenia (few times, most important is with Mad Professor 2001), River/Lake Splash festival (Slovenia), Austrian tour 2006 (including Vienna, Linz, Salzburg & Ottensheim), with Gentleman (Belgrade 2006), Mjaft festival 2006 (Albania), Soundwave festival 2006 (Macedonia)… |
