Slovene music group Moveknowledgement, from summer 2006 a 5-piece band, originate from Novo Mesto (Slovenia) and their ambition is offering the audience a wide musical experience. The Moveknowledgement repertoire changes from one concert to the next and consists of hip-hop (forget about the stereotypes of this genre; frontman N'Toko uses rapping only as a means of expression), drum’n’bass, jungle, funk, reggae, electro-dub, improvisational jam sessions and freestyles.
The band received the Slovenian Bumerang Award for the Best Live Act in 2002. A lead vocalist N'Toko became the National Freestyle Champion of Slovenia in 2002 and 2003 and in the meantime they have toured all over Slovenia, Croatia, even Bosnia and Serbia. N’Toko also released two solo albums. |

| The band formed in 2005 and has quickly risen to one of the heavy weight bands in South Africa. Their secret? Not only their memorable live performances that evoke memories of greats such as James Brown, Elvis and the Rolling Stones (they received a 6000-strong standing ovation for their performance at this years South African Music Awards), but more importantly, their focus and dedication to the craft of song-writing. This has been proved over and over again with already five hit songs off their debut album that have charted all across the country. In addition their debut single, Your Star, was entered into an Unsigned Demo competition on one of London's biggest radio stations, XFM, the same competition that launched supergroup, Keane, into the UK. Your Star won the competition over entrants from around the world.
Cassette is electrifying on stage. The interaction between the members of the band is intense – a blend of polish practie and spontaneity. Cassette just works. It is rare to find a band that gives so much to an audience – they can be spellbinding, humorous and personal all at the same time. Their moves are reminiscent of the truly great rockers and, with their distinctive style, they bring a fresh exciting energy to the international music industry. |
